Drawing from the Heart School approach (which I’ll explain in the workshop), we’ll start with why you’re homeschooling and use that as the filter for everything else—curriculum, schedules, space, co-ops, and more.
We’ll get super specific about:
- Curriculum choices – how to quickly rule out what doesn’t fit, avoid expensive “mistakes,” and choose resources that match your worldview, your goals, and your teaching style
- Learning & teaching styles – how to set things up so you reduce friction and strengthen relationships instead of fighting every lesson
- Planning your days – moving from rigid, guilt-producing schedules to flexible, mission-driven routines that actually work in real life
- Organization & classroom setup – what you really need (and what you don’t), how to make the most of your space—whether that’s a school room or a corner of your kitchen—and simple systems to tame the paper and supply chaos
- Co-ops, activities & social stuff – questions to ask before you say yes, how to tell if a group supports your mission or undermines it, and how much is too much for this season
- Margin & seasons – how to plan for busy or hard seasons (new babies, illness, ministry, etc.) without feeling like you’ve “ruined” your homeschool
