FEASTS OF LORD : God’s Biblical Calendar
Thursday May 7, 2026 10:00am - 10:50am EDT
"Throughout history God has revealed Himself and His ways during His Appointed Times.
Scripture is God's self-revelation. We'll examine events on God's Biblical Calendar
Passover - Yeshua (Jesus) was crucified on Passover as ""the Lamb of God"" who
takes away the sin of the world. The Passover event tells about an innocent lamb whose
blood was applied as a substitute (Exodus12).
Feast of Unleavened Bread - Messiah was in the grave 3 nights & 3 days during this Feast.
Unleavened Bread doesn't corrupt or decay. Messiah's body was without corruption, sin or decay (Acts13:37).
Firstfruits - ""Messiah has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those asleep' (1 Cor15:20).
Yeshua was the first man resurrected with a new heavenly body. ""The firstborn from the dead so that
He Himself will come to have first place in everything"" (Col 1:18).
Pentecost - The Greek word 'pente' means 50. In Scripture, the Hebrew name is Shavuot or Feast of Weeks
because it's 50 days (7 weeks+1 day) after Firstfruits (Lev23:15; Acts2:1-11).
Feast of Tabernacles - God came down from heaven to earth to dwell among men. ""The Word became flesh
and dwelt among us and we beheld His glory"" (John1:14).
Sabbath - It's about preparation and rest. Work 6 and rest on the 7th day. Sabbath constantly reminds us that
our stay in this world is a preparation for our time in the world to come. "

Learn an Instrument: A Guide for (Very!) Busy Families
Thursday May 7, 2026 10:00am - 10:50am EDT

Music? Who's got time for that?!? Life is already stuffed to the rafters—school, work, sports, church, errands. And yet, you still know the importance of music education and want your kids to learn an instrument (or you want to learn one yourself!). 𝗬𝗼𝘂'𝗱 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗼𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿.
But is this even possible? In a word...Yes! This practical, note-filled workshop shows parents and students how to make real, lasting progress on an instrument without adding stress or cramming your schedule. 𝗬𝗼𝘂’𝗹𝗹 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘆.
This workshop is for parents who want a clear, doable plan, for students who want to learn (or have already started to learn) an instrument, or for co-op leaders looking for simple structures and plans that ensure consistent progress.

Raised to Be Ready
Thursday May 7, 2026 10:00am - 10:50am EDT
"The culture in which we live resembles a modern-day Babylon. Daniel and his Hebrew companions were thrust into a culture and way of life foreign to what they were taught in Judah, but being placed in Babylon didn’t turn them into Babylonians. Why? Because they were raised to be ready. Wil discusses how to scripturally raise our children to be ready to go in and confront the current, godless culture head-on. With the biblical examples of Daniel and his Hebrew companions, we can learn a lot about what it takes to be ready to live in a culture hostile to fidelity and submission to God.

ADD-ON CLASS - Step into the World of Modern Software Creation—Where Ideas Become Apps!
Thursday May 7, 2026 10:30am - 12:40pm EDT
Do you have a teen who loves technology—or one who’s curious about how apps and websites really work? What if they could spend a day in the life of a developer and discover what really happens behind the screen? In this unique workshop, they’ll have the chance to do exactly that.
Students will explore the modern process of building software and gain hands-on experience in the core practices of DevOps—the same approach today’s top companies use to create and deliver apps—working directly in GitHub, the world’s #1 developer platform with over 180 million users. They’ll learn how to:
  • Plan work like real software teams do
  • Write and share code as part of a collaborative project
  • Use AI as a coding copilot to boost creativity and problem-solving
  • Build, test, and deploy software in a safe, guided environment
  • Document and monitor their work to support ongoing improvement
By the end of the workshop, students will understand how ideas turn into working apps, develop valuable teamwork and problem-solving skills, and take their first steps into a field that offers both creativity and career opportunities.
This class is for 9th – 12th grade students and will take place on Thursday May 7th from 10:30am – 12:40pm

Stop the Homeschool Chaos: A Clear, Biblical Framework for Choosing Curriculum, Planning Your Days & Building Peace
Thursday May 7, 2026 11:10am - 12:00pm EDT
Does your homeschool feel like a jumble of good ideas, half-used curriculum, scattered supplies, and way too many activities? You are not alone—and you are not failing.

Most homeschool families have never been shown how to design a homeschool on purpose, from the inside out, instead of just reacting to every shiny thing that comes along.

In this very practical session, we’ll walk through a clear framework for building a homeschool that fits your family’s mission, your children’s hearts, and your everyday reality. Drawing from the Heart School approach (which I’ll explain in the workshop), we’ll start with why you’re homeschooling and use that as the filter for everything else—curriculum, schedules, space, co-ops, and more.

We’ll get super specific about:

  1. Curriculum choices – how to quickly rule out what doesn’t fit, avoid expensive “mistakes,” and choose resources that match your worldview, your goals, and your teaching style
  2. Learning & teaching styles – how to set things up so you reduce friction and strengthen relationships instead of fighting every lesson
  3. Planning your days – moving from rigid, guilt-producing schedules to flexible, mission-driven routines that actually work in real life
  4. Organization & classroom setup – what you really need (and what you don’t), how to make the most of your space—whether that’s a school room or a corner of your kitchen—and simple systems to tame the paper and supply chaos
  5. Co-ops, activities & social stuff – questions to ask before you say yes, how to tell if a group supports your mission or undermines it, and how much is too much for this season
  6. Margin & seasons – how to plan for busy or hard seasons (new babies, illness, ministry, etc.) without feeling like you’ve “ruined” your homeschool

You’ll leave this workshop with a practical game plan you can start using right away:

A filter to help you say yes and no with confidence

A simple structure for your days and weeks

Concrete ideas for setting up your space and systems

A fresh vision for using all of this to go after your children’s hearts, not just their test scores

Should Christians Teach Shakespeare and Mythology?
Thursday May 7, 2026 12:20pm - 1:10pm EDT
Shakespeare and mythology have been cornerstones of classical education for centuries, but many Christian families hesitate: Do these works enrich our children’s learning, or undermine Biblical truth? Secular scientists say they all evolved, but even though there are major problems with this origin theory, Christians rarely hear what those issues are. Learn the strategies that will have you rethinking your entire method of teaching your child to read. I have used this method of teaching to self-contained, special needs children and their scores are consistently the highest in the entire school district. This is not a curriculum. The War for Truth: Discernment in an Age of Deception
Thursday May 7, 2026 12:20pm - 1:10pm EDT
In a world saturated with information, how do we discern what’s true—and why does it matter? This workshop tackles the growing pull of conspiracy thinking and the subtle ways it can distract, divide, and derail believers from their primary mission. Looking back to the enemy’s first recorded words—“Did God really say?”—we’ll explore how doubt, distortion, and distraction are still being used to undermine confidence in God’s Word.

Together, we’ll examine why not every issue has to be a “salvation issue” to be worth contending for—and how wisdom, humility, and biblical discernment help us stand firm without being pulled into fear-driven narratives. You’ll leave equipped to think critically, anchor your beliefs in Scripture, and engage a confused culture with clarity, courage, and truth.

Who Would Raise Them? Estate Planning & Guardianship for Christian Parents: The 5 Foundations of the Family Shield
Thursday May 7, 2026 12:20pm - 1:10pm EDT
Every parent knows they should think about it—but almost no one does: “If something happened tonight, who would raise your children tomorrow?”

For Christian homeschool families, this isn't just a legal decision. It is a matter of discipleship, stewardship, and the legacy you are building every day. In this heartfelt and surprisingly hopeful session, Jim and Beth Hood cut through the "someday" excuses and introduce The Five Foundations of The Family Shield—the clear framework every intentional parent needs to protect their children’s future.

The Hoods walk you step-by-step through the five pillars of a legacy plan: • The Guardian: Selecting the right people to raise your kids if you cannot• The Structure: Protecting your family from the chaos of court and conflict.• The Provision: Ensuring they are provided for without delay.• The Blueprint: Leaving behind the specific values and guidance they need.• The Heart: Shaping their lives—and yours—while you are still here.
Drawing from their own journey from "vague intention" to total clarity, Jim and Beth equip you to choose guardians who reflect your faith, avoid common pitfalls, and put a simple, loving plan in place.

You’ll leave encouraged, equipped, and ready to move from intention to protection. Because love doesn’t just hope. Love prepares.

Enjoy taking photos?! The Photo Class is a series of two interactive classroom sessions centered around learning practical photography skills regardless of what camera you have. Students will then be assigned a specific photo assignment which they will have until the second session to fulfil. For conclusion, parents are invited to join us as we review the class submissions, learn what we can from the assignment experience, and leave with practical tips for growing in photography in the future. If you love snapping photos, you won’t want to miss these sessions! God has given us a love for art and beautiful things . . . let’s hone our photography skills for His glory!

Session 1
Have you ever taken time to simply observe what the light was like in the natural world around you? Would you have guessed that there are 5 distinct times of day? And each one offers a host of unique opportunities for the photographer to explore! With the insights discussed in this session, you’ll be equipped with the tools you need to get out and enjoy the outdoors, prepared to make the most of every photo op regardless of the time of day.

Latin, Greek, and Hebrew--Why your children should learn them and how they can
Thursday May 7, 2026 1:30pm - 2:20pm EDT
"When Harvard was founded in 1636, Latin was the primary language of instruction. The Yale valedictorians of classes 1785 and 1792 delivered their addresses in Hebrew. Even as late as 1857, a Greek salutatory oration was given at the University of Pennsylvania's commencement ceremony. Latin, Greek, and Hebrew had a central role in the education of Americans for the first 200+ years. These languages are now hardly studied and very few gain useful proficiency in them.

I make a case for why learning these three ancient languages is so important for our culture. After showing their importance, I introduce modern learning science theories and how they can transform learning efficiency in any domain. I demonstrate how such theories can be applied to Latin, Greek, and Hebrew, so that your child (and you!) can learn these languages at any age and in the most efficient way possible (as a personal testimony, my son was reading Hebrew at 4). As a homeschool dad myself, I also discuss my firsthand experience of teaching my own kids Greek and Hebrew."

Raising Lions, Not Labradors - God's Vision for Masculinity
Thursday May 7, 2026 1:30pm - 2:20pm EDT
We are living in an age that confuses masculinity with menace and strength with danger. The result isn’t healthier boys—it’s hesitant parents and disoriented sons. This talk reframes the entire conversation around boyhood and manhood. Not as something to be restrained, but something to be formed. God’s vision for masculinity was never about volume or dominance—it was about courage under control, strength with purpose, and leadership anchored in truth.
Raising Lions, Not Labradors challenges parents to stop domesticating what God intended to develop. It calls for intentional formation over behavioral management and long-term vision over short-term compliance. This is a conversation for parents who don’t want easy boys today at the cost of weak men tomorrow

Living Out Your Faith in a Culture That (Sometimes) Hates You
Thursday May 7, 2026 3:00pm - 3:50pm EDT
Jesus brought some hard truths to the 1st century culture when He walked the earth for 33 years. Some people loved him while others hated him and wanted him dead. Some things never change. America is becoming increasingly secular and anti-Christian attitudes and behaviors are gaining ground. Homeschooling brings with it an unhealthy stigma along with a unique set of challenges. Welcome to life as a Christ follower. So, how do you live it out successfully? How do you relate to and interact with outsiders? How do you handle relationships with the LGBTQ people in your life? How do you stand strong in the faith despite opposition, rejection, and outright hatred?

Thursday May 7, 2026 3:00pm - 3:50pm EDT
"In a generation full of selfies, filters, and highlight reels...there is a battle at hand. A battle for the hearts of God's daughters. We live in a world that is constantly making girls feel inadequate and insignificant. The cultural pressures in today's society makes it easy at times, for young hearts to lose sight of what really matters and their own God-given worth. As mothers, fathers, and faith leaders, we get the incredible privilege of helping shape how our daughters see themselves. In this session we will navigate ways to point our daughters back to Christ every day. So that they can discover that true beauty and worth are found in Christ alone. Walk away feeling equipped and encouraged...with practical strategies to help your daughters embrace who God created them to be.

The End of Higher Education As We Know It
Thursday May 7, 2026 3:00pm - 3:50pm EDT
"There is a law within a free market economy - adapt and change to the meet the needs of the market or become irrelevant. For years, due to government subsidies and protectionist practices, higher education has managed to avoid the realities of this natural law, in spite of increasing disconnect with many Americans over student loans, woke ideologies, ineffective training, and industry gatekeeping. But over the last few years, it has become increasingly clear that the traditional system of higher education is not immune from this law and must change - or face the consequences. How did we get here and what could/should be the future of higher education? Come and find out.

Thursday May 7, 2026 4:20pm - 5:10pm EDT
"In a world aiming to redefine manhood, womanhood, and the family, parents—especially fathers—must rise with intentionality, clarity, and courage. Psalm 127 reminds us that children are like arrows in the hand of a warrior, meant to be shaped and sent with purpose.

In this powerful session, Keith Boggs shares biblical wisdom and battle-tested principles for raising sons with strength and shepherding daughters with tenderness. You’ll gain practical insight and spiritual encouragement to train your children to stand firm in truth, thrive in their identity, and be launched as arrows for God’s glory.

Politics…Nasty but Necessary
Thursday May 7, 2026 4:20pm - 5:10pm EDT
Trump. MAGA. Democratic Socialism. Government Shutdowns. Republicans. Democrats. Campaigns. National Debt. Deficit Spending. Elections. Who controls the House? Who controls the Senate?

Triggered, yet?

I became a Christian political activist in 2004 and in 2007 I began hosting my own Christian talk radio show. In 2012 I began to teach Civics back home (Raleigh NC) at the request of my wife, and another homeschool mom. Since then, I have taught Civics to over 1,000 high school homeschoolers. Most of them took the class because mom and dad made them take it…but by the time it was over, they understood why it was such an important topic. Jesus commands us to love our neighbors as ourselves, and the political arena provides a way for Christians to at least try to do so...and in a profound way.

Faith in Jesus Christ saved my life. But apologetics saved my faith.
